What other conditions apply when using PSN?
9.1. In addition to these Terms, the following terms apply and form part of your contract with us:
9.1.1. The PlayStation Privacy
Policy 9.1.1.1. Explains the data we collect and how we use and share it.
9.1.2 . System Software License
9.1.2.1. Governs the use of software incorporated into an Authorized System.
9.1.3. The Software Terms of Use
9.1.3.1. Govern the use of PlayStation games and applications developed to run on one or more Authorized Systems.
9.2 You can find these documents at www.playstation.com/fr-fr/legal/PSNTerms/ .
9.3. You must agree to access certain Products (eg games and services) when we or the publisher of that Product notify you.
9.4. If you fail to comply with all of the above terms, you will be in breach of these Terms.
10.1. We take appropriate technical measures to ensure the security of PSN and the information we hold about you.
10.2. You too have a role to play. You are fully responsible for the use of your account, unless:
10.2.1. another person may have used that account because of our failure to put in place appropriate technical measures to ensure the security of PSN or the information we hold about you; or
10.2.2. another person may have used your account when you have taken all appropriate measures to avoid this situation, including those indicated in article 10.3.
10.3. Steps to take to prevent unauthorized access to your account:
10.3.1 . Log out of your account at the end of each session.
10.3.2 . Set a password to prevent anyone with access to your Authorized System from logging into your account.
10.3.3. Choose a complex password, different from those you use for other online services, and activate the option “Ask for a password during payment” to prevent other people from being able to spend on your account.
10.3.4. Never share your account information.
10.3.5. Never let anyone else use your account, not even a family member or friend.
10.4 What if something goes wrong?
10.4.1 . Change your password immediately if you think someone else knows it.
10.4.2 . Notify us immediately if you believe someone has taken control of your account.
10.4.3 . Notify law enforcement if you are the victim of a PSN-related crime. (Ex: fraudulent use of your payment information on the PSN.)
- Family children.
11.1. You must create a separate account for each Child Account in the family. Configure Parental Controls for each child. See section 12.
11.2. Children in the family have access to our PlayStation Store. See article 15. One of the Parental Control options concerns the monthly limit of authorized spending. We set it to zero. You can increase it. Only set a monthly spending limit greater than zero for a child in the family if you know that the child will be able to understand the purchasing system and make purchasing decisions for that amount.
11.3. By setting an expense limit for a child in the family (or appointing a Guardian for this purpose), you are telling us that:
11.3.1. the child understands:
11.3.1.1.
11.3.1.2 . The cost; and
11.3.1.3 . The process of an online purchase;
11.3.2. you approve and agree to pay for any purchase within the defined spend limit.
11.4. For each child in the family, you must:
11.4.1. provide specific information (see Article 7), in particular concerning age;
11.4.1.1. Why? This impacts how we manage these accounts. Age allows us to tailor the content and purchases they have access to, as well as their use of PSN. However, not all Products offered on PSN are unrated, and some contain adult language and content that children in the family are likely to see.
11.4.2. explain to them how to behave online, how to deal with others (see our Code of Conduct, in article 13), how to protect themselves and how to protect their account;
11.4.3 . Configure appropriate Parental Control options (see Section 12);
11.4.. Monitor their use of PSN appropriately;
11.4.4.1. Why? Children in the family may receive messages from other PSN users without you being notified.
11.4.5. accept all liability related to the use of a Family Child Account, including the cost of any purchases made. These conditions do not apply if:
11.4.5.1. another person may have used this account due to our failure to put in place appropriate technical measures to ensure the security of the PSN or the information we hold about the children of the family; or
11.4.5.2. another person may have used the account even though you and the child in the family have taken all appropriate measures to avoid this situation.
12.1. We offer many Parental Control options. For more information, go to this address.
12.2. Important information about Parental Controls:
12.2.1 . Guardians can configure Parental Controls options and change those you have allowed.
12.2.2. We will not notify you if a Parental Control change is made by a Guardian.
12.2.3 . Only supplement Guardians whom you trust.
