What is SSL exactly?

SSL is an acronym for Secure Sockets Layer. This technology ensures that your internet connection stays secure. It protects visitors from accidentally sharing sensitive data with others.

It uses encryption algorithms and techniques to scramble data during transit. This prevents hackers from reading the information as it is being transmitted over the internet.

It is easy for visitors to see if the website has an SSL certificate. A padlock is located next to the URL bar’s link.

Your browser will request information from the server every time you visit a website. Your browser will check if the website has an SSL certificate and if it communicates with the server using HTTPS.

If it is valid, you can access the website immediately and see the padlock icon next to the link in the address bar.

However, if your browser fails to detect an SSL certificate, it will stop tracking you and block you from accessing the website. The browser will display the error “Your connection isn’t private” in Chrome and “This Connection Isn’t Private” in Safari.

This Network Error Is Not Connectable

To share data packets and access files on the Internet, the system connects to it. Sometimes, however, the system cannot establish a connection because a Couldn’t establish a secure connection. This can be caused by many reasons.

Let’s discuss each of them below:

Old Drivers: The drivers are crucial to the smooth operation of your software and other applications. You must ensure that your drivers are current by downloading any updates from the software provider.

This SSL error could be caused by your browsing history or cache. This error can be fixed by deleting your browsing data. Here are the steps:

  • Start Google Chrome, then open Menu.
  • Select Privacy from Settings.
  • Tap on Clear browsing data. Select Clear Data.
